A new season is beginning, and this one is extra special as some of our athletes are preparing for next summer’s European Masters Athletics Championships, which will be held right here in Jyväskylä!

1. Autumn Season 2026–2027
Trainings will move to Hipposhalli starting September 28, with a few exceptions. Please check the training times and locations for your groups in Nimenhuuto.

The main changes to the winter calendar are:
- Pole vault training will alternate between Tuesdays and Fridays. The Tuesday session is self-directed and the Friday session is coached.
- Discus and shot put training will move to Fridays.
- The coached strength training session will move to Sundays.
- Sunday's interval training session is removed from the schedule.
- Middle-distance running sessions will continue through October. If there are fewer than 3 participants per session, middle-distance training will also be removed from the schedule at the beginning of November.

2. Invoicing for October–December 2026

The activity fees for the 2026–2027 season are:
- Coaching groups: €70/month
- Hobby coaching: €50/month
- Seniors (over 65): €35/month
- Membership fee: €140/year (for ages 65+: €70/year)
- Single-session fee: €10/session (for ages 65+: €5/session)

Invoicing for October–December will take place in October. If there are any changes to your billing details, please contact Katri by email at katri(piste)niemisto(miuku)sul(piste)fi no later than October 2.

3. JKU Gala on October 30

The JKU Gala will be held at Event Center Helmi on October 30 from 6:00 PM to 8:30 PM. Coffee will be served starting at 5:00 PM. Adress is Okkerinkatu 2, 40700 Jyväskylä.
Everyone connected to JKU is welcome to attend! The theme of the event is James Bond, and the dress code is formal.

4. Christmas Party on November 14 at Lyhty

We are organizing a Christmas party for JKU Masters athletes on November 14 at the Lyhty premises in the Lozzi building. The program includes self-funded dining, award ceremonies, and fun games. You can find more information, registration instructions, pricing, and the menu in the Nimenhuuto event for November 14. Please sign up by clicking IN on the November 14 Nimenhuuto event no later than October 30.

5. Training Camp Day on December 12

We are organizing a training camp day for JKU masters athletes on December 12 from 10:00 AM to 3:30 PM at Hippos.

The camp day will include the following for each discipline group:
- Discipline-specific training
- Strength or supportive exercise training
- JKU masters athletics development workshop
- Snack break (self-funded / bring your own snacks)

Please sign up for the December 12 Nimenhuuto camp event by selecting IN and commenting with the discipline group you will participate in by December 7 at the latest.

The camp day is included in the training fee for those paying the monthly fee. For members paying only the annual membership fee, the camp costs €20, and for others, it is €50.

Uusi kausi alkaa ja kausi onkin erityinen, sillä osa urheilijoistamme valmistautuu ensi kesän mastersien EM kisoihin, jotka kilpaillaan täällä Jyväskylässä!

1. Syyskausi 2026-2027

Toiminta siirtyy Hipposhalliin 28.9. alkaen muutamia poikkeuksia lukuun ottamatta. Tarkista ryhmien harjoitusajat ja paikat nimenhuudosta.

Suurimmat muutokset talvikauden kalenteriin ovat:
- Seiväshyppytreenit ovat jatkossa vuoroviikoin tiistaisin ja perjantaisin. Tiistain vuoro on omatoiminen ja perjantain ohjattu.
- Kiekko- ja kuula harjoitus siirtyy perjantaille.
- Ohjattu voimaharjoitus siirtyy sunnuntaille.
- Sunnuntain Intervalliharjoitus poistuu ohjelmasta.
- Maileritreenit jatkuvat vielä lokakuun ajan. Jos kävijöitä ei ole 3/treeni, myös maileritreenit poistuvat ohjelmasta marraskuun alussa.

2. Laskutus loka-joulukuu 2026

Toimintamaksut kaudella 2026-2027 ovat:
Valmennusryhmät 70e/kk
Harrastevalmennus 50e/kk
Seniorit (yli 65v) 35e/kk
Jäsenmaksu 140e/vuosi (65+ ikäisillä 70e/vuosi)
Kertamaksu 10e/kerta (65+ ikäisillä 5e/kerta)

Loka-joulukuun laskutus tapahtuu lokakuussa. Jos laskutukseesi tulee muutoksia, ole yhteydessä Katriin sähköpostilla katri(piste)niemisto(miuku)sul(piste)fi viimeistään 2.10.

3. JKU Gaala 30.10.

JKU Gaala järjestetään tapahtumakeskus Helmessä 30.10. klo 18-20.30. Kahvitarjoilu on klo 17 alkaen. Kaikki JKU henkiset ovat tervetulleita tapahtumaan. Tapahtuman teema on James Bond ja pukukoodi juhlava.

4. Pikkujoulut 14.11. Lyhdyssä

Järjestämme pikkujoulut 14.11. Lozzi rakennuksen Lyhty-tilassa. Ohjelmassa on omakustanteinen ruokailu, palkitsemisia ja mukavaa pelailua. Lisätiedot, ilmoittautumisohjeet, hinnan ja menun löydät nimenhuudon tapahtumassa 14.11. Ilmoittautuminen IN nimenhuudossa 14.11. kohdalla olevaan tapahtumaan viimeistään 30.10.

5. Leiripäivä 12.12.

Järjestämme JKU:n masters urheilijoille leiripäivän 12.12. klo 10-15.30 Hippoksella.

Leiripäivässä on jokaiselle lajiryhmälle:
- Lajiharjoitus
- Voima- tai tukiliikeharjoitus
- JKU:n masters urheilun kehittämistyöpaja
- Evästauko (omakustanteinen / omat eväät)

Ilmoittaudu leiripäivän nimenhuutotapahtumaan 12.12. IN ja kommentoi lajiryhmä, johon osallistut leiripäivässä viimeistään 7.12.

Leiripäivä kuuluu kuukausimaksua maksavien harjoitusmaksuun. Jäsenmaksua maksaville leiripäivä maksaa 20e ja muille 50e.
